What is Centella Asiatica?
Centella Asiatica is a herb found in a tropical swampy area in different places. It is also known as Gotu Kola, Pennywort, and Wild Violet. ScienceDirect: Centella Asiatica is a herbaceous plant that belongs to the family Mackinlayaceae. It has also been used as a medicinal herb for thousands of years in India, where it is commonly used in anti-aging preparations for the skin.
According to Google, Centella Asiatica is indigenous to the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, and wetland regions of the Southeastern US, because the plant is aquatic, it is especially sensitive to biological and chemical pollutants in the water, which may be absorbed into the plant.
Benefits of Centella Asiatica;
- Centella Asiatica is rich in amino acids, beta carotene, fatty acids, and numerous potent phytochemicals, this offers a great benefit to the skin and also good for anti-aging properties.
- The extract helps calms inflammation, speed up wound healing, stimulate new cell growth, build skin tissue collagen, and improve circulation, which is all essential for a youthful complexion.
- It is also good for those suffering from eczema, acne and stretch marks. While doing all this it prevents future scarring on the skin.
